I didn't win the tournament, but what I learned was a win for me.
Hi everyone!
I am just coming off a nice stretch of tournaments with three weeks off now, before I head to Asia. The last few tournaments were great for me, it was so much fun!
I played in the final group with Lorena Ochoa in Alabama. I didn't win the tournament, but what I learned was a win for me.
First of all, I know for a fact now that I'm having a blast playing in the final group of a tournament.
It's a thrill to compete, to entertain and feeling the adrenaline in my veins. Second of all, I might not have performed the way I wanted to, but I know for myself that I played some great golf under pressure. I simply didn't score that day. But this was the first time and hopefully there are going to be many more opportunities for me.
I can't wait to play the last few events this season, which has just rushed by so quickly. I'm really excited to go and practice during our few weeks off. Working on my short game and distance control with my pitching will remain the focus of my practice. The only thing I can't really prepare for is the cold weather that we are going to face in Korea and Japan. But I should be used to that from my winter practices back home in Germany, when I was a kid. Plenty of hand-warmers will help keep my feel and touch. I've actually never been to Korea before, so I'm curious what its going to be like. (Especially excited about the food). I went to Japan last year and enjoyed the tournament and fans (they are incredible) very much. I even had to sign cell phones. Crazy, no? Let's see what they will want to have signed this year!
Well, I will let you know how my Asia trip went, but until then I hope you enjoy your game as well!
